                                       Biography for Richard Wagner

Dick joined the Rotary Club of Normal in 1986.  He was the Club's International Youth Exchange Officer from 1986 until 1990.  In 1994 - 95, he was the Club President.  Dick and Eileen have supported the Rotary Foundation for a number of years; in all donor categories.  He has served District 6490 as an Assistant Governor 2001 - 2004, a District Director since 2004, and various other committees.

Due to Dick's experience as an Assistant Governor, he is very focused on serving the unique needs of each club in District 6490.  He will strongly encourage a cohesive team concept with AGs and Club Presidents.  Since the District exists to serve each Club, he will focus all District Officers and Committees to provide help and services at the direction of an Assistant Governor and a specific Club.  Dick's teaching roots will lead his education interests in helping to develop more effective Club & leadership training.  He is also leading the introduction of the Rotary Leadership Institute in Zone 29 & 30 for Rotarians before they serve their clubs as officers.

Dick and Eileen Wagner have lived in the Bloomington Normal community since 1967.  They came to town through accepting teaching positions in the Normal Schools.  They have 2 adult married daughters and four grandchildren.  They were both US Delegates to South Korea and The Netherlands with the 4-H IFYE Program.  They serve the B-N community through their Church, Westminster Village Board of Directors, 4-H Club Leaders, Republican Precinct Committeeman, and various school and professional associations.  Dick continues to serve his clients as an Insurance Agent and Investment Adviser for COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services.
